I said goodbye to a friend today. The sadness I feel is overwhelming. …………..… For Manfred. What a strange yet perfect day it was, to say goodbye. Your words and smiles and memories I’ll keep those gems close by. Through tennis, talks and music as friends we made a start. Though whiskey, beer and the best Thai food Also played a part. You did such good things in your life, your counsel will be missed. But please forgive my disbelief that you were communist. I’ll say farewell, adieu, Godspeed, go rest now that you’re spent. I hope you knew and felt in your heart how much to me you meant.

Mit großer Bestürzung  habe ich die Traueranzeige gelesen. 

Manfred war mein erster Freund, nach der Trennung haben wir uns aus den Augen verloren. Ich würde gerne zu seiner Beisetzung/Trauerfeier gehen, habe aber keine Informationen. Könnte mir eventuell einer der Unterzeichner der Anzeige eine Nachricht schreiben?
